Gavin Whapshare, DO, Medical Director
Born in London, Gavin Whapshare DO is board-certified in family medicine, and provides primary care services to all ages, from children to adults. He handles everything from chronic disease management and preventive health checks to sick visits, pediatric checkups, and back-to-school physicals.
Gavin brings his relentless sense of humor, a passion for personalized care, and an unmatched dedication to quality to Guardian Health. As the Medical Director, Dr. Whapshare serves as the clinical leader of the organization and is proud to help our team in its mission to provide the Venice, Florida community with unmatched, provider-led healthcare.
Sherry Rogers, APRN
Sherry Rogers, APRN, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Guardian Health, having served the Venice and Englewood communities for over 10 years. Sherry has built a loyal following among her patients thanks to her compassion, timeliness, and expertise. She handles all aspects of care providing women’s health in addition to chronic disease management and sick visits.

Marie Zambelli, APRN
Marie Zambelli is a Nurse Practitioner who has worked in interventional pain management and rheumatology for multiple years providing comprehensive care while collaborating with the physician to evaluate and treat complex conditions and planning for advanced procedures to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Marie originally comes from Michigan and moved to Florida in 2019. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends and exploring Florida’s beaches and beautiful landscape as well as listening to live music.
Charles Kayat, PA-C
Charles Kayat PA-C has been caring for the health and well-being of patients since 2012. He enjoys treating patients of all ages, performing adult physical exams, well child exams and Medicare annual wellness visits. His clinical interests are in family practice, urgent care, and psychiatry.
He earned a Master’s degree in Medical Sciences and Physician Assistant Studies from Albany Medical College in Albany, New York in 2012.
On a personal note, when he isn’t helping patients, he enjoys being hiking, cycling, and music.
Eric Weinhardt, APRN
Born in Ontario Canada, Eric Weinhardt is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner, and provides care to both children and adult patients. As an RN, Eric worked in trauma, the emergency department, and the urgent care before being called into the primary care setting to work as an APRN. He focuses on primary care needs including health promotion, chronic disease management, and sick visits.
Eric is excited to establish meaningful connections with his patients in order to help them meet their personalized goals for improved health and wellness.
Jordan Churchill, CEO
Jordan Churchill serves as Guardian Health’s CEO and co-founder. Leading the operations and revenue cycle teams at the Practice, Jordan also serves as both Guardian Health’s public face and the leader of our quality program. He brings over ten years of executive experience operating large medical teams, developing complex facilities and projects, and serving as an executive consultant for several medical organizations, most notably in the fields of Family Medicine, Orthopedics, Anesthesia, and Pain Management.
Jordan specializes in operations leadership with a focus on developing and fostering positive company cultures. Originally from the UK, Jordan attended school here in Florida, and has called the Venice & Sarasota area home for almost 15 years.
